FAQs
What do I need to participate?
Bring some questions! You will need a device with a camera and microphone and Zoom installed, as well as a good internet connection.
Can more than 1 person participate?
Yes of course, as long as everyone can fit within your screen! You can get anyone present with you to join in, and they are welcome to ask questions too. We ask that you mute your microphone if you have infants around, so that others won’t be disturbed, but children are welcome to ask questions.
Can this be a private experience?
Yes, if you book all 5 slots, the session you’ve booked will automatically become private to only you and whoever you want to share the experience with.
Will this be recorded? May I record it?
No. The Zoom chat will not be recorded, and participants will not be allowed to record for reasons of copyright and privacy.
What if I need to reschedule?
Just reply to the confirmation message with a note about when you would like to reschedule for at least 12 hours before the experience. We’ll change your booking for you and send you a new link.
Are you following government guidelines as per the state of emergency?
Yes, the Government of Japan recommends avoiding closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings. We will not be contacting any other humans during the experience, and the vast amount of space in the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden will allow us to conduct this safely.
What will Mori do, exactly?
Mori will be her usual self during the experience (ie. expert at being a dog). She will occasionally be asked to sit and stay, and will be given treats in return. She will perform one or two tricks if she feels like it.
