Sending postcards to the Cough God

Oseki-san is a rock enshrined on Inariyama that heals people with pnuemonia, tuberculosis, chronic coughs, and other lung problems. The name is a play on words because O-seki can either mean "Mr Stone" or "Mr Cough" in Japanese.

It's probably the only shrine in Japan where you can send postcards to petition a god (probably because you can't climb up Inariyama if you're wheezing badly).

Please send standard sized postcards and not greeting cards or large-sized postcards. Otherwise they won't fit in Oseki-san's mailbox.
